Our History

Sidewalk up to building

Olde Towne Medical & Dental Center (OTMDC) was founded in 1993 to meet the healthcare needs of uninsured and medically underserved residents throughout the Greater Williamsburg community and beyond. Established as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, OTMDC remains committed to its mission of providing quality, affordable, coordinated, and preventive healthcare services to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay.

More than 30 years later, OTMDC has grown into a comprehensive Rural Health Center offering integrated healthcare for individuals and families across all stages of life. Our experienced leadership team—including an Executive Director, Medical Director, Clinical Director, and Dental Director—guides a compassionate team dedicated to improving the health and wellness of our community.

Our medical services include primary care, urgent care, prenatal and postnatal care, chronic disease management, mental wellness, health education, and medication assistance. Care is provided by skilled nurse practitioners, a Certified Nurse Midwife, and a network of volunteer specialty physicians who help ensure patients receive comprehensive, coordinated care.

Our dental center features a full-time dentist, dental hygienist, dental assistants, and dedicated volunteers who work together to provide high-quality dental care for both children and adults.

Olde Towne also houses a full service eye clinic and onsite labratory.

Behind every patient visit is a knowledgeable administrative team that supports scheduling, check-in and check-out, medication assistance programs, health education, development and fundraising efforts, and business operations. Every member of our organization plays an important role in helping patients access the care they need
